The first thing I noticed about our apartment was that we have lots of indirect light. I’ve taken enough pictures of the boys that I can appreciate how nice it is to have so much indirect light! We have sooo much light, my goodness! I got my camera cleaned out before I moved and they changed all my settings on my camera. I love my back button. I am happy to have it programmed back. It’s nice having my settings back to the way I like them, I haven’t had a spare moment to just sit down with my camera for a few minutes. Today I sat down and just flicked through my settings and changed them back. I am happy. We still have a massive amount of un-packing but the house is actually somewhat liveable now. I feel grateful that I can spend five or so minutes sitting by a window and document the kids briefly without putting much effort in. Light, it’s nice.
Dubai High: I love being able to get food delivered. Dubai doesn’t really have a tipping standard here. Tonight for example I had a couple bars of dark chocolate, and some peanut butter and jelly supplies delivered to the apartment. It cost me nothing for them to deliver, there is this European grocery store, Al Maya a block away and they deliver here in the DIFC.
Low: I’m still not eating the balanced diet that I should be. Jude’s bowels are having a hard time. This morning he actually woke up with some hives on his legs. Man…
Any tips unpacking my house? We need to find a storage unit to store a few things, and I’m trying to make a place for everything. Moving is not my strong point. This has been the first day in Dubai that things have felt really liveable. We all have beds, our beds – and I am largely unpacked. Woot, woot! Hb is doing well guys!
